The Donora Smog Commemorative Committee is hosting “A Step Back In Time” featuring The Latshaw Pops 20-pc Orchestra. The floor show will feature singers and dancers with music from the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s.
The buffet dinner will include three entrees. Door prizes will be givenand prizes will be awarded for the best dressed 40’s outfit.
The event will be held Sat. Nov. 2nd at the Donora Borough Building, 603 Meldon Ave., Donora, PA 15033. Doors open at 5pm, dinner at 6pm, with the show at 8pm and DJ from 10pm-midnight. Cost for the event is $40. per person, $75. per couple or $30. per person 70 yrs. or older;

The 1948 Donora Smog was a historic air inversion resulting in a wall of smog that killed many people and sickened thousands in Donora, PA, a mill town on the Monongahela River, 24 mi. SE of Pittsburgh which started the formation of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
